HSBC is divided into 4 separate stages. The first stage is an Internet-based test with 25 multiple-choices questions. During the next three stages the contesting teams have to cope with various business case studies. More details about each stage can be found here.
The competition at each stage (including the International stage) will take place in the participants’ mother tongue.The tasks from each stage will be given to you and your team in your mother tongue and you will also present your solutions in that language. The presentation at the International Final will be carried out with the help of a simultaneous interpreter.
Teams should have between 3 and 5 members.
The team can consist of people from different schools and cities, but they have to study in the same country. The region to which a given team is assigned is determined by the leader’s school location.

No, our challenge is completely free of any charges. Moreover, on the National and International Stage, we also cover the expenses of transport and provide accommodation with appropriate meals.
Yes, the answers for the first, on-line stage will be publicized after the deadline to submit them. On the higher stages we are not sharing answers, only questions, as case studies require individual approach and do not have one right answer.
Financial prizes are awarded as early as the National stage – the winning team receives €500, the second place holders €250 and the third place holders €150. But if you and your team beat their colleagues from other countries and win the HSBC 2021, you will receive a prize of up to €2400!
