In the first stage, we will test your practical skills in using the knowledge you have, as well as how effectively you are able to search for various useful information.
Each team will receive a sheet consisting of 25 multiple choice test questions of varying difficulty levels. The subject matter of the tasks will be about what you will encounter every day in the business world. The basics of economics, management, finance and financial analysis, as well as learning about entrepreneurship – questions in this area are expected in stage I.
You will get 14 days to solve the test so that you can check your answers thoroughly. Of course, all the necessary dates you will find in the competition timeline.
Five teams from each region with the highest number of points will be promoted to the next stage.
The teams qualified for the Provincial Stage will have to face the task in the form of a business case study, for which solution there will be 14 days.
Then the results of your work you will present to a committee composed of experts and business representatives. Their task will be to assess how you have dealt with the task and how deeply you have analyzed the problem.
At this stage you can present your creativity, imaginative thinking and teamwork, as well as inquisitiveness and professionalism.
Based on the collected points, we will select at least one team from each region, so that in each country the top 5 teams will take part in the National Stage.
Case study is the most popular form of testing the ability to cope with real business situations. You will surely meet it more than once in your professional career – at HSBC you will gain valuable experience for the future.
The third stage will last for two days and will take place simultaneously in Warsaw, Budapest, Prague and Bratislava. You will face two tasks in a case study formula, one each day. This stage is characterized by great dynamics – it will require you to manage your time wisely, flexibility and ability to react quickly to the changing situation.
The results of your independent work will be evaluated by a committee consisting of experts from the world of science and business.
Finally, they will select the best team from each country to compete in the International Final.
The best teams from Poland, Slovakia, Hungary and the Czech Republic will take part in the International Final. The whole event will take place in Warsaw, where for 3 days the participants will face the tasks in a case study formula. The tasks will be prepared in the native languages of the participants, which eliminates language barriers. As in the previous stages, the participants will present their solutions to a committee consisting of the partners of the event, experts and economic students.
Apart from the competition part, the participants will have the opportunity to get to know Warsaw better through a joint sightseeing and organized integration. At the end there will be a final gala, during which the whole competition will be summarized and prizes will be awarded to the winners. Their pool this year is as much as 6 000 €!
